Hodgdon H4350 Smokeless Gun Powder
Hodgdon H4350 Powder Extreme Extruded propellant is a burning speed that has been known to shooters for decades. During that time,
Hodgdon Powder has modernized H4350 by shortening the grains for improved metering and making it insensitive to hot/cold temperatures.
H4350 is ideal in the WSM family of calibers (270, 7mm, 30, 325). H4350 is the standard in such cartridges as the 243 Winchester, 6mm Remington, 270 Winchester, 338 Winchester Magnum and many more. For magnums with light to moderate weight bullets, it can’t be beat!

What Caliber is Hodgdon H4350 Powder Good for?
H4350 is suited for the WSM family of calibers (270, 7mm, 30, 325) and is also used in cartridges such as the 243 Winchester, 6mm Remington, 270 Winchester, 338 Winchester Magnum, and many others.
What powder is the same as Hodgdon H4350 Powder?
According Nosler’s load data, IMR4350 is the most accurate powder for this round, but I’ve read h4350 has the same burn rate and is virtually interchangeable.
How long will Smokeless Gunpowder Last?
Modern smokeless powder can be stored properly for decades. This does not, however, mean that the reloader can disregard how the powder is stored, especially if it is in an uncontrolled setting such as a garage or storage building.
Why is H4350 so Popular?
H4350 is an Extreme series extruded propellant that has been one of our most favorite powders among shooters for decades. Hodgdon has upgraded H4350 during that time by reducing the grains for enhanced metering and making it insensitive to hot and cold conditions.
Where is H4350 made?
Three of Hodgdon’s most popular powders, H4831SC, Varget, and H4350, are made in Australia and were unavailable during the COVID lockdown. Photo courtesy of Massaro Media Group. Given the impact of the COVID-19 shutdowns, it is easy to see why that quartet of Australian powders has been so difficult to obtain.
