Vihtavuori N565 Smokeless Gun Powder

Vihtavuori’s R&D team has created a powder that is ideally matched. Vihtavuori is glad to announce the N565, the latest addition to the Vihtavuori N565 series of high-energy powders, in response to customer input and requirements.

The Vihtavuori N565 was developed to bridge the gap between the Vihtavuori N560 and N570 high-energy rifle powders and was designed exclusively for the.338 Lapua Magnum with 250-grain bullets. In addition to a precisely tuned burn rate, this powder is exceptionally temperature-stable, yielding consistent results across a wide range of settings.

Vihtavuori N565 also included increased hygroscopic stability and a decoppering chemical to ensure a cleaner barrel when shooting. N565 is also REACH-compliant because it contains no DNT or phthalates.

N565 grains are the same size as N560 powder. It runs nicely through powder measures and ensures high loadability and homogeneity, much like all Vihtavuori powders.

The burn rate of the powder is slightly higher than that of N570, roughly splitting the difference between the two. Vihtavuori N565 is a single-perforated extruded powder with a bulk density of 960 g/l and an energy content of 4000 J/g.

While the N565 was designed mainly for military sniping tasks, it also offers a wide range of sporting applications, notably long-range shooting. The N565 will be an excellent choice for calibers like the 7mm Rem. Magnum,.30-06,.300 Win Mag,.300 Norma Mag, and.338 Norma Mag.
